BOTTOMLESS PIT

At the edge looking down at this bottomless pit

My soul, a never-ending hole into the center of the earth

 Inside lies a mountain of material objects

Created only as a means to make me feel whole

To feel complete, to compete with other bottomless souls 

That have forgotten the true meaning of what it means to exist

Trapped within mankind’s unnatural state of sin 

Having tasted the sweet joy of nirvana

Only to awaken to a world of pain and suffering 

Unable to elevate to a higher state of being

Unable to tap into the divine peace of mind that lies within

​

 Poisoned by mankind’s ego

Seduced by a world of wickedness and greed 

Disconnected from the needs of the people as a collective 

Deceived by those whom plant the seeds of destruction

 Complicit with the corrupted hand that carries out the deed 

​

Mislead unto a path of damnation

Surrounded by a herd of lost souls

The blind leading the blind

Unable to see the signs of the time

Somewhere along the line took a wrong turn at the crossroads 

​

A vain attempt to become exempt of my sins

A lame attempt to fill this hollow abyss

So here I stand at the edge 

looking down at this bottomless pit
